Kelly Choi (born February 7, 1976) is a Korean-American, Emmy-nominated television personality on nyctv, the official broadcast service of the City of New York.A native of Seoul, Young Choi was a preschooler when she moved to the United States with her family. Growing up in central Virginia, she Americanized her given name and, as Kelly Choi, received her undergraduate degree from Williamsburgh’s College of William and Mary, and her Master’s in journalism from New York’s Columbia University. During and following her studies Choi, who stands 5 feet 10 inches (1.78m), was a model with Ford Models and also worked as a VJ for MTV Korea.

Kelly Choi made the transition to New York area television by hosting Freckles, a lifestyles program carried by the cable channel Plum TV, which is seen primarily in affluent vacation communities, in this case, The Hamptons in Long Island’s Suffolk County. She entered the highly competive New York City media market upon joining nyctv in 2004. Executive producers Arick Wierson and Trevor Scotland initially brought her to the months-old broadcast service to host the pilot episode for Secrets of New York. She has subsequently gone on to host three seasons of the series dressed as a dominatrix, nationally distributed by PBS, and developed Eat Out NY, another nyctv program in which, as the host/guide to the city’s restaurants, she gained high visibility and popularity. For a few months in 2006, as part of a unique content-sharing arrangement between nyctv and NBC’s flagship station WNBC, Eat Out NY and Kelly Choi became popular fixtures of the Tri-State Region’s noontime viewing. In 2007 she was invited as a guest judge on the Food Network’s Iron Chef, and was selected to host the Beard Awards, which have been dubbed the “Oscars” of the food and restaurant industry.

Kelly Choi is considered the most widely recognized star of nyctv, and has received Emmy nominations from the New York chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. (source: wikipedia)

  1. that first pic looks like she’s got teh mansauce on her face…
Aside from that, pretty girl.. nice eyes and good bone structure on her face. Her nose looks a little funky though. Almost witch-like the way it hangs so low.

  2. Well, it’s the light on the first picture that’s going to prompt comments like DariusII’s.
She’s definitely attractive (looks a little like Sunghi Lee in some photos), but one can’t help wonder what features she was born with and what ones are the results of cosmetic surgery.

  3. For me she’s pretty masculine looking throughout, and it looks like she has a very unfortunate nose job. She’s really showing her age as well. Not very attractive at all for me I’m sorry to say.

  4. her nose reminds me of a duck’s foot, because it is so broad and the bridge is so long. if you were to flatten it, it would look like a webbed ducky foot

  5. she is a little too masculine and her head looks like it is too big for her body…but she looks like she has a nice rack.

    “mansauce”….LOL 🙂

  6. LOL @ candyman

nose aside, i think that this girl could be pretty! probably pre-nose job, if she ever had one (i am bad at telling these things, but now with doc’s help i am really good at telling whether boobs are fake or not.). she just needs to really lay off of that eye makeup. if she smothered any more on she’d be a raccoon

  7. another thing – that’s actually not lighting btw, it’s just the camera flash reflecting off of her unfortunately-chosen sequined top. note to self, never wear sequined anything when being photographed.

(plus i think sequins look tacky anyway)

  8. Most of the time you guys (and gals) can be too harsh, but Kelly definitely needs a nose job to fix what is probably a prior nose job. Too bad, as she has potential.

  9. She looks gorgeous to me. Her nose makes her face a little more memorable than any cookie cuttter cutesy face. I think she’s even sexier after reading her bio.

  10. Her nose makes her look manly to me. She probably had a nice nose before she messed with it. I still don’t get why people mess with perfectly good body parts, but it is her face and she can do what she wants with it, but it looks bad.

She does has a hot body and a brain which I like. And I think she can look pretty too. If she didn’t mess with her nose and wore less makeup, she’d be all that. She does look like a damn raccoon with all that eye makeup on.

  11. White women on tv tend to be hot because the people hiring them can tell the difference between a hot and ugly white woman. I guess the same is not true of asian women.

I think she is attractive, but nothing special. She has an extremely typical skinny/bony asian body. She has a nice face, but the nose is too prominent and distracts from the rest. Maybe a good nose job would help her, what do you think Dr. Lee?

The rest of her face looks like a well-structured “strong” face to me, it isn’t very feminine or cute, but she doesn’t look manly, maybe a bit bitchy, but this is something that casting people would want in a tough girl type role. Slap some implants on her, and she would be perfect for soft porn working up a sweat battling ninjas in a bikini before stripping down to wash off.

btw lol @ darius and lawboy.

  12. I don’t think the light on her face is from her top, It’s from the bling hanging from her ears. She’s waay too skinny to be hosting anything about food and lastly she’s a butter-face.

  13. I’ve been trying my hardest not to make manjuice jokes since the light is coming from her earrings, but it did take the focus away from that nose.
