If you happen to read this, I’d like to apologize, on behalf of Asian-Sirens, for the rude and negative comments you may see in this posting.
There are a few guys on here that have a bias against the “look” of Asian-American models, especially ones from California. I don’t know why they feel so strongly about it. It’s just one “look” among many looks we present here.
It seems every time one is posted they have to chime in with negative comments. Even though we’ve known for years they don’t like this one look, they have to repeat it over and over and over. It’s very predictable and very boring and it shows they have no class. But I’ve learned to accept it, I can’t change the world.

The only “Import” industry we have here is for Import Cars and Import Car Shows.
There is no formal “Import Model” industry. The term is used so loosely that any girl that attends an Import Car Show and poses for pics is often referred to as an “import model”.
For young girls that like attention and want to strut their stuff in sexy outfits, these shows give them a venue. But only just a tiny fraction of them get paid for modeling at the shows. Most of them do it just for the fun and excitement. i.e., At a show with 100 models, for sure less than 20 are getting paid. The only exception would be big names like Francine Dee and Natasha Yi, etc.
And the very few that succeed and make a name for themselves always downplay the “import model” label when seeking paid assignments. This is because it has such an “amateur” connotation to it. But as a place to get lots of attention and exposure on websites, these import shows are ideal for these girls.
Eventually most of them move on to other things and just a very few will be left to try and βmake itβ with their own websites. I realize most of these sites will fail for various reasons. But I still like to promote these girls to give them a little boost! π

Northie…you should know by now that SoCal Asian chix taking heat on this site is a part of it’s DNA. The part I don’t get about the import model industry is that these web sites cost money to set up and run – I really find it very hard to believe they could turn a profit. Indeed, I’m sure they must end up losing money overall. So why do they keep putting them up? Is it just a promotional tool for the car shows or something, so they write off the expenses as advertising? I just don’t understand the economics of all these implied nude import model sites.

I will say this in fairness to Honey Jo: it is quite unfortunate that NorthMan has decided to get on his hobby horse in this thread, as it has meant other people (including me) have had to defend their point of view, making the balance of negative comments stronger than it would otherwise have been. As I say above, Honey Jo definitely is prettier than the average import model, so even though she doesn’t excite me greatly, she is still better than most of them IMHO. Hence, in that sense she does stand out a little from most other current import models.
Honey certainly does fit a certain “cookie cutter” look that is so prevalent in SoCal. Frankly, I think she’s cute, but by no means do I find that she’s gorgeous – though I can understand how some might find her so.
That said, I feel that if a girl puts herself out there in the public eye as a model, she’ll need to have pretty thick skin. Negative comments are just something that you have to deal with in this line of business – and let’s not forget that point, this is most certainly a business.
I can honestly say that I regularly see girls who I find more attractive when I’m walking around downtown TO. Of course, that’s my opinion. I expect a lot of the girls that I find personally “hot” many might disagree with or question my sensibilities.
But they would be dumb. ^__^

The still shots of Honey, above, didn’t excite me. But, I thought she looked pretty good in the video. (And, yes, I understand the stills are from the video). Maybe it’s the way she moves and smiles, in the vid.
What I like best about her is her tight little, natural (or at least natural looking) body. Her face looks good sometimes, not that great other times. She might be prettier, in person, though.
I apologize to Honey Jo and to anyone else who was offended by my comment. I was in a bad mood and unwisely chose to post. (However, a child is objective proof that a woman has had sex, so my comment was purely factual.)
That said, regarding my church comment: it occurred to me that maybe they don’t want to go full nude in case they have more mainstream/legitimate opportunities in the future. (Not that it’s stopped a lot of other nekkid models.)
Yeah, the factual basis of your comment was why I let it go initially, but I can also see why Northman was offended by it. I do think your church comment was very much on the money though – this whole stigma over nudity is yet another reflection of the conservative Christian undercurrent that pervades American society.

I agree with sevendeuce regarding the thick skin. You’ll constantly come under fire for even the silliest things no matter what your profession may be. I am a musician and a chef and people are always making comments on either side of the fence. I can’t afford to cry and have my feelings hurt every time someone says something that I don’t like. I also don’t spend any time arguing with people about it… mostly because I’m a panty-waist… haha!
