Black Pearl Productions

Jade Unlimited was started by two young Asian women, Margaret Juang and Denise Lum. A couple of years ago, Jade Unlimited approached Playboy photographer Kim Mizuno about shooting their East Meets West calendar. He brought along Sung Hi, Patricia Ford, Lisa Marie Scott, Pia Reyes, Morena Corwin and Kailani. That was the birth of Black Pearl Productions.

The 1997 Patricia Ford and Sung Hi calendars were produced under the new name Black Pearl Productions. Having two names, i.e. Jade Unlimited and Black Pearl Productions, made it confusing for retail accounts and therefore the name Jade Unlimited was dropped. East Meets West and all the calendars that followed, have been produced under Black Pearl Productions.

Sung Hi Lee appeared in the 1997 Sung Hi Lee Calendar (sold out), and the 1997 East Meets West Calendar (March, August). In 1998 Sung Hi Lee is gracing the cover of the 1998 East Meets West Calendar (Cover, April, and December). Unfortunately, the 1998 Sung Hi Lee Calendar was not available in time and therefore they offered an one time exclusive huge 24x36 wall poster/calendar of Sung Hi (a collection of 10 never-before published pictures). Furthermore, Black Pearl Productions runs the official Sung Hi Lee fanclub. They made arrangements to bring a limited number of copies of Kim Mizuno's Butterfly to their website. This book was the fastest and hottest selling book in Korea and has sinced been banned!

In May 1998, Black Pearl Productions' Zuno arrived! Zuno is a website capturing the private moments of beautiful models. In their free premier issue of May 1998, they feature one of Black Pearl's newcomers, Sheila Rosario.

Somewhere in June/July 1998 the new company management of Black Pearl Productions decided to rename Zuno in MZ. Since then, several covers appeared on their website but as far as I know none of them were actually released!
