Yolk Magazine Promotion Event
(July 16, 1998)

Sung Hi Lee appeared on Thursday July 16, 1998 in the newly remodeled Club Muse (old town Pasadena, CA) to promote the Summer 1998 issue of Yolk Magazine. It was a celebration to have Sung Hi Lee come out to promote herself and an opportunity for her fans to have an opportunity to ask questions, autographs, etc. The club was really crowded with over 900 people in attendance.

Sung Hi arrived at 11:30pm for a Question & Answer with everyone. Before she actually started she's been downstairs in the basement VIP area signing autographs for VIP members (damned, they lost a signed poster for me). On the wall behind the stage was a big yellow banner with Sung Hi Lee's enlarged image (from the Yolk cover). There were also several posters on the walls of each floor.

When the bouncers started clearing people out of the stairwell at the back of the VIP area, Sung Hi Lee finally arrived on stage! The sound level dies down after a while and she offers to answer some questions. According to the people who attend this party, she was stunning! She was wearing a red tube top revealing an incredible tan and seemed to be having a great time.

Most of the questions were really stupid and mostly crude ("show us your tits", "will you marry me", etc.) to which she responded in good humor but politely asked the crowd to keep it clean. However, she told also something about her Korean movie, A Night On the Water. The movie will come to the USA within the next couple of months!

After a dance contest on stage, Sung Hi thanks everyone and says she'll go downstairs, on the basement dance-floor to boogey with everyone, but not to get too close, semi-teasingly, because her bodyguards might attack. Actually, it was so crowded down there the bodyguards escorted her back into the VIP area. Around 1:30am or so it became apparent she wasn't going to be able to come out to the dance-floor and soon the bodyguards were starting to usher people around to make room for Sung Hi Lee to make an exit.

Overall, it was extremely successful and Yolk may probably be something like this again in the future.
